Almost But Not Quite – Fighting It One Day at a Time

I am writing from LA Fitness. It has been about a week since I have been to the gym to walk. I have had bad back pain and no desire to push.

Last night was a rough sleeping night too. I was up at 4 tossing and turning, so I just got up and did some computer work.

So, we came and I set a goal to get to 1.5 miles today. That’s 12 laps. My best this year is 10 as I try to improve.

Walking at LA Fitness

Well, 6 laps in my knee started hurting and then the sciatica kicked in. I did push for 4 more to at least stay at 10. It was not comfortable, but I did make it that far,

Sad thing is that the only way for a big guy to lose the bulk is to exercise. But being big throws in so many other complications–joint pain, stamina, sciatica, etc.

I am learning that I just need to do one day at a time, like Joe Walsh says…

Keep it up Dave! Consistency is the key, little by little you’ll be there before you know it.
