Birthday Dinner – A little late

Last Friday was my birthday. Julianne and I decided we could have three-four “celebratory” meals a year wherein meat may be used, if desired. I wanted a steak, so we cooked on the Big Green Egg tonight.

We grilled a small steak and then Asparagus with garlic and Himalayan salt and some seasoned sliced potatoes.

Julianne also sautéed some mushrooms with garlic. Her real treat was the butternut squash casserole made with the remaining pulp of the squash after juicing and then added some apples and ginger and a few pecans on top.
