Fitness Challenge Day 13 – Just Say No

Yesterday became a practice in denial. Before lunch, someone brought in a big box of Cella’s chocolate covered cherries and another box of purple peeps. Probably two of my favorite candies. I am working hard to resist the sweets and so I faced it had on! I grab that box of chocolate covered cherries, put it next to my face and just said no!

Instead, I selected three small peppermint Lifesavers. They are saving my life! I crave a little bit of sweet and these guys do the trick.

As for the results for yesterday, I had a good bowl of oatmeal for breakfast. Then I had leftover grilled goodies from Sunday’s dinner. A good lunch…and had cantaloupe and grilled pineapple for dessert.

Took a break after a mile

After getting home, I headed out for a walk, knee pain and all. Walked 1.98 miles for good measure!! I could feel #TeamSumoflam cheering me on! Gave me the extra push I needed.

We had salad with grilled red pepper dressing (also included balsamic vinegar, garlic, fresh rosemary, basil, black pepper, and white wine vinegar and maple syrup). Enjoyed the rest of our leftover spaghetti too.

A shower and bed never felt so good.

That was a brisk walk there, and good for you for not succumbing to those cherries from Hell! I have to steer well clear of the chips-n-dip things; my snacky downfall. Thanks for the strength to say No Way, Frito Lay! Gotta avoid those darned minefields, so remain vigilant. šŸ™‚
