Fitness Challenge Day 45 – Long Days Are a Drag

I woke up yesterday morning at 3:45 AM.  It was too early, but, I had a load of contract website work to do, and, as I noted in my Day 44 post, time can be a challenge. In any case, I ended up working until 6:30 AM and then had to “get ready for work” for my day job at BrainBox working on the Great American Rivalry Series and the Great American Fitness Challenge.

Green Smoothie in the morning, on the way to work…still reasons to smile.

Julianne was up a bit late so she rushed to make us both green smoothies which we took with us in the car on the way to get her to work at UK.

I can get all bent out of shape, but why?  Honestly, I woke up on the right side of the dirt again this morning.  I did get SOME sleep and I did get a lot of work accomplished for one of my clients.

Things are not ever THAT bad.

Before we left, Julianne also pulled together another Salad-in-a-Jar while I made some dressing.  This would be our lunch, of course.

So, off we went, salads in jars and green smoothies in hand.

It was a busy day at BrainBox as well.  Lots of things going on as we proceed into our “less than 30 days to go” point for the June 13 Great American Fitness Challenge. Lots of promo work, phone calls, website work, etc. I felt like I had a productive day.

Salad-in-Jar

For lunch, it was Salad-in-a-jar time.

Today’s salad was comprised of black beans, corn, some bell peppers and lettuce and baby spinach.  We had a new mustard dressing concoction, which was kind of sweet.

I snarfed down my lunch ravenously.  I was SOOO hungry. Even after finishing the HUGE salad, I wanted more. Unfortunately, there was not more.

Five o’clock came around just in time.  I was ready to go home.  I was fried.  I picked up Julianne, we went to run a couple of errands, stopped at Chipotle’s for dinner (there’s that convenience thing again!!) and then went home.

Before long, I was in bed.  It was 8:30 PM. Thank goodness it was Friday night and I could “sleep in” on Saturday.  And no, I did not get a walk in…but wait until Saturday!!

I’m tired….but I have not totally lost my oomph!!
